Kathryn MacDonald, Allied ASID
PRINCIPAL DESIGNER
Kathryn works primarily on residential projects in the San Francisco Bay Area, drawing inspiration from architecture, travel, the beauty of the natural world, and her clients. Kathryn believes in respecting the original architecture and unique character of a home, while modernizing and personalizing it to create an inviting, cohesive space.
Her childhood spent moving between Canada, California, England, and Australia cemented a love of new places and spaces, while the experience of gut renovating two homes ignited a passion for design. Recent work has been featured in Modern Luxury Interiors: New York, Homes & Gardens, California Home + Design, AD Italia, AD Russia, ELLE Decor, and Label Magazine.
Prior to her career in design, Kathryn spent over 10 years in the wine industry in sales and marketing roles taking her across California, the United States, Italy, and Spain. Kathryn holds a BA in Anthropology and MBA from UC Berkeley, and has completed extensive coursework in Interior Design & Interior Architecture through UC Berkeley Extension. She is a current member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Northern California chapter.
